There are so many celebrations in May: Cinco De Mayo, May Day, National Teacher Day, Mother’s Day, Armed Forces Day, Memorial Day and I’m sure millions will be celebrating a graduation day. If you are working towards that bikini bod for the summer, facing all these spring parties can be…

do you see the problem with this

a female celebrity JUMPS INTO THE OCEAN TO RESCUE HER CHILD AND NANNY

It’s true… I did.  Because I want to talk ALL about crossfit ALL of the time… in a singular location.

Funeral For My Fat: Bulking/Spot reduction

funeralformyfat:

  • If i start running or ______ (insert exercise here) will my ____ (insert body part here get bulky?? Because I dont want to be bulky!
  • I started working out, and every place is slimming but my thighs, I think they are getting bulky….!
  • I’m not losing weight in _____ (insert body party here)

This is a good analogy.

Strength Wraps

withoutthefizz:

I want a pair of wrist/strength wraps, but I want to make them, because they look like I could just make them from some fabric I have left over from other projects.  I’m trying to find a pattern/dimensions/anything to base them from, but I can’t find anything.  I don’t want to pay $30 for a pair just to have to make some from.

Any ideas or anyone have dimensions they are willing to give me.  If I successfully make some I’ll send you a pair I make for free!

I joined the crossfit gym that I had a groupon for on Monday.

At my workout on Wednesday I did a handstand/walk walk without any resistance band help.

My arms are getting some serious muscle.

Any my legs!  Oh my legs.

I love crossfit.

I need to get some better shoes for it, though.  Any suggestions?

Oatmeal Banana Cookies
Okay. So I’m giving up [added] sugar for lent, which starts on Wednesday this week. The only sugar I’m allowing myself is fruit or dried fruit, and minimal amounts of natural sweeteners like agave or stevia [I want to eat less overall, though… so these will be pretty minimal if at all].
In preparation, I made these cookies tonight. They have no added sugar at all and guess what? They actually taste really good, and are also really easy to make. Maybe this no-sugar thing won’t be so bad after all.
Ingredients—
1/3 c. butter, softened [I used coconut oil…although 1/3c. isn’t a big deal and butter isn’t that bad for you in small quantities! I just don’t personally buy butter and I love all coconut things]1/4 c. milk2 c. oats1/2 c. raisins [I imagine you could use dried cranberries, or any other kind of dried fruit to your liking]1 tsp. vanilla3 ripe bananas, mashed[And then my own additions…]chia seeds [I didn’t measure… just throw ‘em in until it looks right]ground flax [same as the chia seed situation]
Mix all ingredients together in a medium bowl. Let stand for 5-10 minutes allowing the oats to soak up all the milk. Drop by tablespoon full onto a cookie sheet. Bake 25-30 minutes minutes at 325 degrees. Allow to cool. Makes about 20 cookies.
NOTE: The 325 degrees for 25-30 minutes could vary. Keep an eye on them. They should be slightly brown on the bottom, but not burnt and not too soft/mushy, but not crunchy.
Also, they’re not like normal cookies. They won’t rise or spread, and they taste deliciously like banana bread. They don’t look that appetizing, but I swear…
And I kind of wish I put a few chopped pecans or something in them. Next time? [There will be a next time].

Cross Fit!

I have two more cross fit classes left from my groupon and then I’m going on a week vacation. After that I am joining the cross fit gym. I love love love loooovve it there. Everyone is really nice and I feel so much stronger and more fit from going.

The first week I could barely do a back squat with a 15lb bar. Yesterday I did 3 rounds of 7 of The Bear Complex which is a lot more than just a back squat. My hip flexors are mighty sore today, though!

Cross fit is fantastic. The end.

I started crossfit on Monday and I love it! However, I’m on day four this week and up four pounds…what!?!?

I’m also drinking this tea to get rid if water weight and have been eating sensibly. It’s period week, but I actually don’t feel bloated.

IDK, man. My body is a crazy wonderland.
